After more than 60,000km on this set of BF Goodrich KO tyres we got our first puncture. Most likely from a sharp rock, I’d say prior damage from The Gibb River Road over the past few weeks.
After leaving home this morning we took the Landy over the weighbridge to see what we’re sitting on fully loaded.
The Defender gets a name and a whiteboard installed on the dash.
We named our Defender Charlie. We decided to make a whiteboard out of a piece of perspex. Here we can write notes while on the road such as jobs to be done or things to buy etc. We have used some velcro to fix it to the dash so we can pull it off to write on it.
We’ve finally got our fuel jerrycans fitted. With the car being away at the mechanics and waiting on the jerrycan mounts to arrive it put us behind a little.
Never let life get boring! Go a little bonkers, get out of your comfort zone, quit that job, move out of that house, spend some time on the great open road!
Making big life changes is scary. But you know what is scarier? Regret! ?⛺??♡
We have running water again! Since getting the car back from the mechanics we have been working like mad to finish all the jobs before we leave. Jobs that can be done on the road will just have to wait though. We can’t wait to get the wheels rolling!
We chose to keep things simple with a hand operated water pump.
Behind Tegan’s seat is the fridge cabinet, we decided to make use of the flat surface with a map of Australia just in case we get lost 🙂
Below the map we have a 240V powerboard to plug in our devices on the road while connected to the inverter or plug it into mains power when it is available.
